In 2001, the duo Awaloa had its start performing at the Manele Bay Resort and The Lodge at Koele. They quickly
became a favorite among guests and locals a like. Although Awaloa enjoys their diversity in music they have never
forgotten their roots to Hawaiian music.
The name Awaloa means "deep or large harbor". Originally called "Awalua" for a popular diving spot on the island of
Lana'i, many guests mispronounced "Awalua" as "Awaloa". Overtime the duo decided to adopt the name they are
known for, Awaloa.
The duo of Chad Campbell and Joey Akana have developed a natural musical connection that some search a
lifetime for. It has reached the hearts and ears of people from all over the world. Their sweet blend of harmonies can
only be describe as "Nahenahe".
Whether celebrating a wedding, anniversary, company/ corporate function, or any other special occasion, let
